Our Impact

Donate Today to Help Create More Jobs

Building Seedy Nutty allows us to hire more at-risk young adults in our community. We operate in an impoverished community out of a kitchen in a surplus school operated by The Food Project. Believing this was the right thing to do, we worked to get the kitchen FDA certified. This SW Baltimore community is one of the most underserved in Maryland. Our service area in 21223 is plagued by high unemployment, lower rates of high school completion, high crime, and drug abuse with 39% of households in poverty and 32% in ALICE levels. Our neighborhood is also a focus of the opioid epidemic in Baltimore. These are all chronic problems that create significant barriers to its residents.

The Food Project has been on the ground in Southwest Baltimore for over 7 years feeding the food insecure. They have gained the trust and respect of the community. These relationships have allowed us to identify and create Seedy Nutty as targeted solutions that fit the needs of those we serve.
